Noon Viennoiserie Cafe sits quietly on Jalan SS 4c/5 in Petaling Jaya’s Taman Rasa Sayang, offering a relaxed alternative to the busier spots across the street. This café draws in a mix of locals who appreciate quality pastries paired with thoughtfully brewed coffee in a cozy, unhurried setting.

The atmosphere is casual yet inviting, with a bright interior that encourages lingering over brunch or a mid-afternoon treat. Seating is straightforward and the ordering system is self-service at the counter, but staff will bring your food to the table, keeping the experience low-key without feeling impersonal. Visitors tend to come for a solo coffee break, casual catch-ups, or to grab a box of freshly baked goods to take home.

The real draw here is the pastries and distinctive menu items that fuse local and European influences. You’ll find the Caramel Banana Almond Croissant and Sea Salt Kouign Amann capturing attention for their buttery flakiness, while savory options like the Basil Pesto Gnocchi and Nasi Lemak Pasta showcase a playful local twist on familiar flavors. This blend of comforting brunch dishes and fine viennoiserie appeals especially to those who appreciate artisanal baking and creative café-style dining.

Coffee complements the pastries well, with drinks such as the Hot Cortado and Hat Matcha Latte drawing regulars who favor carefully prepared, quality brews without the usual fuss. The café’s vibe suits the late-morning to early-afternoon crowd best, when the light is soft and the pace unhurried, ideal for reading, working quietly, or intimate chats.

Beyond food and drink, Noon offers a calming little corner away from the usual weekend rush. The friendly team and the careful balance between casual self-service and attentive table delivery create a space where you feel comfortable settling in without pressure. While not bustling or extravagant, it’s exactly the kind of café where locals appreciate the craft behind each pastry and plate, making it a preferred spot for those seeking something quietly distinctive in Petaling Jaya.

Blink and you might miss this little spot. Surprisingly not as busy as the other restaurant across the street so we did not have to wait to get a seat. No table service, have to order at the counter and you can pay at the counter when you finish but the waiter will bring the food to your table. For improvement there needs to be a manager or automated system to check on orders getting out of the kitchen on time. We had to remind them about kayaking toast. Food portions are a good size that is filling. I recommend the unagi tamago fried rice bowl which had that tall stack of tomago and delicious sauce on grilled unagi and Kaya toast with different types of bread including sourdough. Generous helping of beef bacon on the pasta . I had the caramel macchiato latte but I think I’d like to visit again and try a coffee without the sweetness before deciding on coffee quality. Interesting cozy little layout with reasonably clean toilet. Looking forward to my next visit to try something else on the menu.

I stumbled upon this place with a friend back in 2023 and it was the best decision we've ever made, so my review may be very biased but I really need to share my feelings about this place. I've been to Noon by myself a couple of times and have my own personal favourites: the Basil Pesto Gnocchi and Kouign Amann. I've been to plenty of other popular cafes to try their kouign amann but no one can beat Noon's kouign amann to date (for me!), and frankly, if you can pull off a kouign amann, you can pull off the other pastries. For the basil pesto gnocchi, I've always been in search of a good pesto and I have to say, Noon's pesto is worth the price, it's not a plain dish, it comes with its own protein, a chicken katsu (which some cafes will treat as an add-on) and quite well seasoned. There are some pomegranate seeds to add a bit of colour and crunch in the dish, and it's decently priced, too! (Not >RM 30, which, let's be real, some places price their pesto pastas in the >RM30 range, and with mediocre protein like chicken slice and cherry tomatoes). In terms of the pesto sauce, it's not watery (I prefer my pesto to be thick enough to cling to my pasta) and though I prefer it more garlicky and cheesier, Noon's pesto sauce is just right, especially since their pasta of choice is gnocchi which can be a bit heavy for the tummy if the sauce's flavour is too intense. I say this is a very biased review because these are the only dishes I've tried so far because I'm a person of habit, but whenever I have a craving for pesto and Kouign Amann, I go to Noon.

Picked up a box of their pastries and overall, everything was genuinely delicious — super flaky, buttery, and clearly made with skill. The almond pastries, the rolls, the danish… all really well done. Only small thing: the lemon tart’s jelly had a slightly odd smell, not sure if it’s the citrus gel they use. Still edible, just not my favourite part. But overall, the quality of the pastries is strong enough that it still deserves a full 5 stars. I’ll definitely be back to try more.

Tried the Caramel Macadamia and Pistachio Suisse, and both were absolutely incredible. The Caramel Macadamia had a perfectly flaky, caramelized macadamia nuts—rich, sweet, and absolutely indulgent. The Pistachio Suisse was just as amazing, with delicate layers of laminated pastry filled with a pistachio cream, topped with powdered sugar and crushed pistachios for the perfect nutty balance. A great touch is that the staff warm up the pastries before serving, making them even more delicious. The bakery has a cozy atmosphere, and the friendly staff make the experience even better.

One of the cafes that open rather early (by 8 am). Noon in SS4 is a nice cafe to catch up for breakfast- their breakfast set is value for money at RM18+. If you’re member (sign up is free but probably take abt 10 mins for registration). Pistachio pastry and Flat white are very good - crispy flakes, creamy pistachio cream inside. Cafe is nice & quiet - perfect for breakfast.
